Wonderfully concise interview, and it seems to me more hardhitting than you usually do. The times call for it, kudos! Also you asked anyone to speak about experience relinquishing their smart phone; I have never owned one, and I don't feel the need for one. I have a phone tied to the wall at home. I have tried a flip phone twice (when traveling) but quit them when home. I have always loved to walk and to pay attention to my surroundings, and the notion of substituting involvement with a device for attending to the natural world (or the world of the city) was anathema to me. This colonization of my capacity for awareness moment to moment seemed (and seems) toxic. But, here I am on my laptop messaging you! So not truly free. I have queried several friends "Could you ever give up your phone?" and even the ones committed to health freedom said they did not think so. Thanks for your deeply thoughtful work. Onwards!
"Colonization of my capacity for awareness" - what a great phrase! I might try to work that one into a future interview, if you don't mind, because that is exactly what "smart" phones are doing.
As Tednetter has commented, 2020 seems to have served as a habituating exercise to get people hooked on digital technologies. Of course, it goes back before then, but the widespread addiction to smart phones that we are seeing today was nowhere near as obvious before then.
I ditched my "smart" phone in 2018, meaning that I got out ahead of time. Like you, I do not feel the need for one (not yet at least, although various chokepoints can ultimately be used to force compliance).
I am deeply troubled by the fact that no one who currently has a smart phone is able to ditch it. Some of my subscribers are having a go at doing so - I will be interested to see how they get on.
But, for the time being, I stand by my contention that "smart" phone addiction is worse than heroin addiction. At least the latter is widely recognised as a dangerous addiction, and rehab facilities are available.
The same cannot be said for addiction to devices that threaten to remove human freedom and autonomy completely.
Kudos to you on this interview! (I’m looking forward to listening to Part 2!)
I relate to Joan Marie’s comment and your reply to her.
At least two of your “Founding Member” subscribers have never owned a smartphone; and, as you may remember, I am one of them.
If anyone were to ask me how I get by without a smartphone, it would be like asking me how I get along without tampons. I am aware of the existence of a certain segment of the population using tampons, and — intellectually — I can conceive of tampons as “necessary” for some people. But the *need* for tampons is a concept to which, personally, I do not relate.
If I need to place a phone call while traveling, I can do so from the landline in my hotel room. In the unlikely event that anyone needs to talk to me, the outgoing announcement on my answering machine at home always provides the date(s) and phone number(s) of my hotel(s). If anyone is incapable of understanding English or is too stupid to get out a pen and paper and write down the number(s) in the recording — and then call me — well, there’s probably nothing I can possibly do for the ding-dong anyway!
On domestic trips in recent years (i.e., within the U.S.A.), I have sometimes taken along a basic TracFone — with $10 (or so) of calling time put on my account (which will typically expire after 30 days). But the apparatus is a nuisance, and — physically and psychologically — I feel more comfortable without it. Indeed, inspired by the example of a fellow “Founding Member” subscriber, for my recently-completed trip to Tennessee I didn’t even bother to get the darn thing out of the sock drawer (where I store it) and get it working again.
Additionally, I do not travel with any type of other “device.” So, for checking e-mail or Facebook — or for checking in for a flight (or whatever) — I’ll use the computer in my hotel’s “business center.” If a computer is not available, I’ll go elsewhere (e.g., to a nearby hotel or to an outlet of FedEx Office). For my recently-completed trip, I knew in advance that there was no “business center” in the lodge where I’d be staying for three nights “out it the middle of nowhere”; and at no nearby location was there a desktop computer that I could borrow or rent time on. So for that portion of my trip, I was completely without Internet access. That was fine; I gave my eyes and fingers a rest! Best wishes, P.A.
P.S. How people can feel content using a “laptop” computer is beyond me! Especially considering that the small screen, attached to a keyboard, is *terribly* uncomfortable if you’re 6’3” (like me) and have to scrunch down to use the apparatus at all. Yes, I see tall people doing exactly that. I have wondered: Do they have any idea that they *look* miserable?! The few times I’ve ever used a “laptop” (i.e., someone else’s), it has constituted self-torture.
Absolutely brilliant and crisp interview David. Hey folks this is one we can share with even Camp One friends and family who know us as being sane, intelligent and credible even while we push their ideas and beliefs around reality… so much of what has been familiar is crumbling and even Camp One is noticing.
The practice of using AI in warfare is being pioneered by Israel to more efficiently target Gazans leveraging technologies provided by US tech firms: Microsoft, Oracle, et al. Coming to a neighborhood near you as Trump is currently making para military deployments in US cities under the rubric of “fighting crime”.
It is also worth noting that academic institutions who bent the knee for health tyranny by requiring their students and staff to vaccinate and obeying the absurd COVID protocols, and subsequently failing to defend the speech rights of their students and staff who have taken stances against Zionist genocide, are now having their Federal funding sources cut with deleterious results for what remains of academic freedom.
Proving that one cannot appease Fascism in its myriad guises and disguises, it will come and attack regardless.
I sympathise wholeheartedly with him. I, too, moved the assessment on one of my large modules to a traditional in-hall exam, because it was the only way I could see to guarantee that students would not cheat.
Among the many dangers of AI, he identifies the following:
“Artificial intelligence is already killing off important parts of the human experience. But one of its most consequential murders—so far—is the demise of a longstanding rite of passage for students worldwide: an attempt to synthesize complex information and condense it into compelling analytical prose. It’s a training ground for the most quintessentially human aptitudes, combining how to think with how to use language to communicate.”
My husband got hooked into needing a "smart" phone 2 or 3 years ago when he upgraded his Virgin Media contract that included a free O2 contract, and at the same time EE were pulling the plug on his old phone/contract. Same with his mother on the plug being pulled.
My mother got a smart phone for the NHS app so she could show her poisoned status for going on holiday...she had a seizure a couple of weeks after the booster that brought an abrupt end to the cruise. (I was meant to go with her but due to Cunard's discrimination against those who refused both masks and experimental injections, my sister went instead.) Mum now has Alzheimer's.
I got a smart phone several years ago because my sister then worked for Vodafone and she gave me one. I mostly use my laptop, I like to see the screen easily and type on a keyboard. My phone is useful for using at night if I can't sleep (bad idea, I know) or any time I need to check emails and I'm not at my laptop. I'm not addicted to it and could live without it, growing up without this technology helps.
I really dislike being sent texts by my Dr's surgery and dentist, especially when they send a link that takes me to the internet. I ask them to email me instead so I can use my laptop. My husband has asked for appointment letters to be sent in the post and not messaged to him, so they email and post.
Two factor sign in is incredibly annoying using my phone number. It's a message so that's not so bad but this linking of our accounts is an unnecessary nuisance. Passkeys are the latest range that Virgin Media forced us into, it gave the option of signing in by password but then kept asking for a new one to be set up, until I got so fed up with it I opted for passkey.
I'm stunned by how many people use their phone to make a payment and they're older than me! (I'm 59). I'm using cash as much as possible. My 25 yr old daughter doesn't even use her phone to make in person payments, although she uses a card more than cash.
Sorry to hear about what happened to your mother, although I do like your phrase “display poison status to go on holiday.”
It is insidious the way the net keeps tightening. So many little ways to get people to get these devices. Another subscriber lives in an apartment, and soon the laundry machine company will require an app (hence a “smart” phone) to use the machines. More and more logins now require an authentication code (hence a “smart” phone) rather than just receiving a text code (that can be sent to a dumb phone).
Digital technologies are being used as weapons to build a totalitarian control system.
Yes. Another I forgot to mention is the replacement of cash car park ticket machines with app only, which is happening a lot in my area. Even when you have an app on your phone, the thing can randomly log you out, so you have to remember the password, if the phone hasn't saved it.
Travel seems to be the most effective way to persuade people to have the injections...people who I thought were on the same wavelength as me, fell at that hurdle.
9/11 was a massive event that shook the world but 2020 was an 'instant shock' that affected everyone. You stopped watching the news in 2020 but for many, out of fear, stared watching more of the news. Everyone was encouraged to 'work from home' and were trained in the table service app programme. People still use this bars rather than walk the couple of metres and ask for it themselves. Online shopping is the norm now. There are delivery drivers everywhere. The period of lovkdown was very effective in getting people into these bad habits that it becomes the norm now. Its very common to see groups of people together socially and they are all on their phones.
I suppose for many that period of isolation brought them closer in and now that they are so used to it, the idea of simply waiting for a bus and daydreaming without being plugged in would cause a lot of anxiety. It's so automatic now. People look miserable for it. I am as guilty as the next for binge watching or deadscrolling and have been gradually weaning myself off stuff. I never did do the street zombie thing thankfully. I did 3 weeks without and was very interesting and also insightful. I'm saying to friends, If I can do 3 weeks, try it for only 3 days. The idea of simply putting the phone down would be like saying to an alcoholic put down the bottle. I think it would be good for public places to encourage non phone spaces to get people used to the idea. That way its only for a short time. A few years back I went to see Dylan in concert and we all had to lock our phones away. It's was amazing and took me back to a space I'd forgotten about as so used to going to gigs standing behind people filming it on their phones. It was very special. People need to experience what it like before again. You know, encouraged others go for a walk without hour phones, try it. :)
Very good points. 2020 was certainly a giant exercise in social conditioning, and Schwab even wrote that people would become habituated to the new way of life involving the digitization of everything.
My dumb phone's battery died a week ago and I haven't bothered to charge it. I cannot fathom being unable to live without.a phone.
It was the shock to everyone's system that enabled the programming to take hold. I had to keep up to date with the news daily because of my job at the time. I remember when lockdown happened I did that thing where I went to the shops, got my groceries, came home, washed all the packaging down and then went for a shower! After the third time I was like what the feck was I doing! It was like I'd been put in a hypnotic trance and it was very out of character for me. I reflected on that for ages because it was like it wasn't me. I'm lucky that I snapped out of it but there's still people walking about with facemasks on to this day showing how deep their programming ran and these are very frightened and vulnerable people. A reboot? A shock to the system, certainly, and that shock resulted in many getting very ill and many not surviving it. Its amazing what shock and trauma does to the body, far worse than what a poison can do.
There was the sociological study in the 1970s of returning approx 1,000 (I think) US veterans from Vietnam who had been addicted to hereon, had easy access to it and had served at least one year. These soldiers were suffering unimaginable torture in a war situation. What they found was that pretty much all of them kicked the addiction once they were home and in a place of sagety and when they interviewed them 1 year later and only 5% had relapsed. After 2 years it was 12%.
What that tells me is that it's the conditions that create addiction. As you say, we are in an omniwar, but with most not realising it. Under those conditions we underwent, lock down, fear of death, uncertainty, plus pushing everything more online, its understandable phone addiction has been on the rise ever since.
People losing focus, attention, creativity, imagination, navigation skills and are developing conditions like depression, anxiety, impatience, fidgeting, tinnitus, a whole range of outcomes. What does the allopathic model say - that person has ADHD or "mental health problems". No, people are developing conditions because the culture is rotten and our conditions aren't right. A generation taught to believe that its their bodies are going wrong , losing their innate ability they were born with to be human and to reject nature and the natural world. Nature is the only true law we have if you think about it.
Discuss the Targeted Justice program. That needs to be outed over and over and over again. The solutions are there but if people don't even know they are targeted they'll not even know to search for them. I cannot deny that many things are slowing or being wound down from my perspective. Why? Not sure and careful consideration of that is important as it could be because of exposure or that there may be forces taking them on and effectively. God is great my lovely warriors. We've already won but because the beast doesn't care about anything but destruction, we're stuck with still dealing with them. And deal with them we will.
You've covered a good piece of this. But the reality is far more vast in scope but many have no idea that what they are being subjected to is synthetic. If they knew they could be protected but they don't. The more exposure of this profane and horrific practice the better.
Everything is much worse and certainly including 'deaths of despair', all by malicious calculated design.

The rise of the smartphone is indeed a terrible development for humanity. But when I see a member of the younger generation standing at a Pelican crossing and not noticing that the man has turned green because she is absorbed in her smartphone I feel some compassion. The kids never stood a chance.
The smartphone takeover happened so fast that it was all over before anyone understood what was happening. Moreover, I don’t think anyone foresaw it, even the Bad Guys who are using it against us.
I remember the first Apple iPhone in 2007. A wonderful thing—or so it seemed at the time—but I could never have conceived where it would lead to in a few short years.
I agree that it is especially disturbing how susceptible young people are to this tech.
I disagree that no one saw it coming. The founders of Facebook are on record, for instance, as having deliberately designed their platform to create dopamine hits in the brain. Facebook originated as LifeLog, an intelligence enterprise. In fact, all Big Tech companies are as one with the intelligence agencies and always have been.
an exceptionally brilliant interview, the point of absoulte control as the final goal and how it was all preplaned as described by Lissa Johnson in her social engineering presentation on omniwar. Could someone make a german translation out of it and the transscript?
Yes, the terrifying thing about the digitisation of everything and the use of AI to power it all is that information can be manipulated algorithmically - to hide information, to distort information, to lie, to show only certain information to certain people, etc.
In such a world, all sense of objective reality vanishes. People inhabit separate social realities tailored to their individual perception and experience.
It then becomes impossible for the people to unite against their would-be technocratic overlords, which is why all of this needs to be vehemently opposed. As you say, I am intense about this, and we will dealing with these issues at the next Omniwar symposium (The Digital Attack on Humanity) on October 4.

It all depends on what questions are asked and where the conversation goes. I don't seek to crowbar particular topics in.
You've covered a good piece of this. But the reality is far more vast in scope but many have no idea that what they are being subjected to is synthetic. If they knew they could be protected but they don't. The more exposure of this profane and horrific practice the better.
I agree that it deserves to be taken seriously.
I have been inundated by emails from targeted individuals. It is obvious to me that it is a real phenomenon.
Everything is much worse and certainly including 'deaths of despair', all by malicious calculated design.

Life everywhere is being assaulted by THE TECHNOCRATIC OMNIWAR! RESIST! DO NOT CONSENT TO ALL THINGS DIGITAL, 'SMART', AI, 5G, NO CASH - ALL OF IT! dhughes.substack.com Technocrat ruling class psychos get a sadistic thrill from their powers over life and death and hurting all who stand in their way and they need the resources worldwide to build their digital total slavery control grids (herd survivors into 15 minute city digital prisons)!
AI is designed to be anti-human/anti-life programmed by technocrat control freak psychos - garbage in = garbage out. Everyone got along just fine without all these absurd and downright satanic electronic gadgets that did not exist until recently. NOBODY NEEDS THIS AI CRAP!
It is heartbreaking to witness the holocausts happening and so many fellow citizens are brainwashed/bamboozled by the propaganda media, they are oblivious!
MISTAKES WERE NOT MADE! THEY can't get rid of the 'useless eaters' fast enough!
Peddling pure poison! Folks have to wake up to reality: health comes from organic diet, daily exercise and clean living and never from a needle or a pill except in dire, rare traumatic injuries.
It was NEVER about health! The Powers That Should Not Be were ALWAYS about they want you DEAD or a SLAVE! This is a painful truth to accept but we the people must wake up and fight back! And toxic injections/pills were/are a huge part of their arsenal!
This horrifying Gates, Governor 'Gruesome Newscum', 'Lone Scum', Soros, 'Benedict' Biden and Harris and even Trump, Vance, and 'Ramaswampy' et al are blatant fully owned and operated puppets of their globalist technocrat parasite masters same as other numerous 'PUBLIC SERPENTS' infesting by design from above, the bureaucratic apparatus.
Can't say this often enough! The Military/Industrial Complex and the Biowarfare/industrial Complex, WEF agenda and the evils assaulting humanity are from one and the same source - it is the 99% against the diabolical GREED of the 0.01% who should not be in charge of anything!
The monsters in human skin suits who rule the world get a sadistic vampiric thrill and boost from perpetrating the vilest most demonic crimes against the most vulnerable (babies and small children) and then corrupting the system to get away with it scot free! We the People must stop them, there are a lot more of us than them!

Great interview, David.
Thanks, Walter.
Here you go!

Thank you.
“Mini bomb” is an apt term, reflecting the cognitive warfare in play.
