Many thanks for this, David. You’ve done an excellent job.

Obviously I need to read the book before commenting too much, but I do have a major worry.

I am delighted to learn that two experts such as you and Iain see reasons for optimism but, I have to say, I struggle with this. Maybe I’ve spent too much of my life looking for the hole and not the doughnut, but the prerequisite of our salvation as you say is for the people to wake up to what is unfolding.

And it seems to me a thousand-fold harder to get them to do that here because, quite frankly, what you and Iain describe is damned complicated and very hard to grasp. (By design of course.) I’m fairly familiar with the topic but even I had to continually stop to re-read sentences such as

…decentralised finance using permissioned DLT to issue their own digital currencies…

…Freedom Cities, 15-Minute Cities, Resilient Cities, Charter Cities, Special Economic Zones (SEZs)…

It was hard enough getting people to see the dangers of the vaccines, a fairly easily-grasped notion (or so you might think). How then can we get them to understand the nature of this digital prison being built by stealth, subterfuge and a hailstorm of impenetrable acronyms?

People like stories. That is the only way to reach the masses. Someone needs to make an emotional movie about how turning our land and resources into a commodity for sale to the highest bidder affects everyone.
