Dear Mr. Hughes,

As always, thank you for your work!

I’m writing this (random seeming) note, a note which has nothing to do with your article above, to say there’s a book you might resonate with— if you’ve not read it— titled PERCEPTIONS OF A RENEGADE MIND, by David Icke.

I read it a year ago and I’m moving through it again. On page 31, he brings up the subject of Marxism. When I saw that, I thought of you. It's interesting, what he says.

What does he say?

You asked, “What did he say?” So, I need to preface my response with the following:

-- I’m not an intellectual. If anything, I’m a singer/ writer.

-- What Icke writes about Israel, the Jews, and Marx is very complex— or, more precisely, layered— easily misconstrued if one doesn’t read closely; thus, I’m going to show you the exact pages and, if you choose, you can read them.

-- I’ll post the pages on my substack site (this is not an attempt to have you see my substack site… I just don’t know how else to show you the pages).

-- My substack site address is: https://thestandupthinker.substack.com/

-- Second to last note: I have family members who were obliterated in the Holocaust, so when anybody speaks of Israel in any terms beyond glowing, it scares me. The demonization of Israel, of late, is terrifying to me because Israel was the one place people after the annihilation event could go for harbor. In these pages, Icke speaks of Israel in ways not glowing…

-- Last note: the pages about Marxism come near the end, but I had to add the ones before in order to set the context. Bottom line: there’s about eight pages posted on my substack site— read them or don’t, but they’re there.

Hi Loren, thank you for making those pages available to me.

My impression is that nothing in those pages is properly evidenced/referenced. There is claim after claim with nothing to support it.

"Sabbatian Frankism" appears as the dark force behind everything, from the French Revolution to Marxism to "9/11." This strikes me as historically illiterate and implausible.

Like most people, Icke appears not to understand even the basics of Marxism. To conflate Marxism with fascism and woke is the height of ignorance.
